We exist to reach non-believers with the good news of Jesus Christ, to bring them into the community of faith, to nurture the whole community as Christ followers, and to equip each person for a God-honoring life of service and worship.

Also true is that we are followers of Jesus, doers in our community, and hungry to see reconciliation, redemption, and restoration of all things. We desire to see God’s shalom and flourishing for all people.

That’s what Metamora Mennonite Church is…a community. But we’re not just any community; we are a community committed to following Jesus together. It extends beyond just Sunday morning worship. We carry one another’s joys, sorrows, and burdens, and support one another just as Jesus and his disciples did for one another in the early church!
For 193 years, Metamora Mennonite Church has been anchored in the Metamora area (before it was even called Metamora). Through worship, discipleship, care and service, the people of Metamora Mennonite continue to grow as followers of Jesus who love God and love their neighbors in tangible ways. We are not just a church, but a community of believers. Each person has unique gifts and talents that Jesus uses for building up his kingdom.
